Slip and Fall Injury Support: Your Path to Recovery

Slip And Fall

A slip and fall incident, often referred to as a slip, trip, and fall, happens when someone loses balance unexpectedly. It can occur anywhere, from homes and workplaces to public spaces. These accidents often result from factors like wet surfaces, uneven terrain, poor lighting, or cluttered paths. Injuries can range from minor bruises to more serious ones. Being aware of these risks and taking preventive measures is crucial for personal safety.

What You Are Eligible For

In Ontario, eligibility for slip and fall compensation is determined by the severity of injuries, classified into three levels: Minor Injury Guideline (MIG), Non-Catastrophic, and Catastrophic.

  • MIG (Minor Injury Guideline): For minor injuries, like sprains and strains, the MIG sets specific limits on medical and rehabilitation benefits. Compensation covers medical expenses and treatment costs within $3500.
  • Non-Catastrophic Injuries: In cases of non-catastrophic injuries, compensation may include medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, up to 70% of lost wages, pain and suffering, and related damages, beyond the MIG limits.
  • Catastrophic Injuries: Catastrophic injuries involve severe, life-altering conditions. Compensation for these cases typically covers extensive medical care, rehabilitation, long-term care, and substantial damages.

Eligibility hinges on various factors. For more information contact a professional
